Happy Birthday Penguin Foundation
I was thrilled to visit Phillip Island to help celebrate the first birthday of the Phillip Island Penguin Foundation. This was my first visit to the Island and I just loved the penguin parade. Hundreds of the gorgeous creatures waddle up the beach every night, much to the delight of many spectators.
My behind the scenes tour was wonderful too - i got to see first hand all the important work the foundation does to ensure the survival of the Little Penguins and their habitat.
Since the foundation began nearly 1000 people have 'adopted' their own penguin for $75/year. This is a great idea for a gift for somebody who has everything and hopefully we will double the number of adoptees by next year.
