I’m a veterinarian and best known for my work in the media as a presenter and spokesperson. I’ve worked across all media platforms, including TV, radio, print and online. I’ve also authored four books, hosted many events and most recently created an online education program for dog owners. My TV career started in 1994 when I became a presenter on the Ten Network children’s show, Totally Wild. I then went on to co-host the Seven Network’s hit television show, Harry’s Practice from 1997 to 2003. My appearances on Australian TV have been widespread; I’ve featured in dozens of network productions including Funniest Home Videos, Talk to the Animals, Makeover Street, Women’s Weekly Specials, The Morning Show, Saturday Disney, Sunrise, Sixty Minutes and Studio Ten. I’m currently the regular vet on The TODAY Show on the Nine Network. I’ve also worked on American television as the host of Beverly Hills Vet and three series of Housecat Housecall for Animal Planet, USA.

Over the years I’ve hosted hundreds of events ranging from corporate functions and charity fundraising events, through to huge televised live events like Carols in the Domain. Some of the events I’ve been involved with include the Dog Lovers Show, pet expos, vet clinic and pet store open days, various presentations and my own event, the Border Collie Fun Day.
I’ve recently created an interactive, on-line dog training program, Wonderdog School, that’s set to revolutionise dog training by making it convenient, affordable, accessible and fun, giving all owners the opportunity to confidently train and manage their dog.
Over the last few years I’ve travelled around Australia to major events with dog trainer, Kelly Gill, and a team of highly trained Border Collies, The Wonderdogs, providing entertainment and education for the public. Together we’ve also run several Border Collie Fun Days which see over 1,000 Border Collies travel from around the country to enjoy a day demonstrations, races, events, activities and information.
My YouTube pet channel provides expert knowledge about pet health, behaviour and training. The channel also features the talented Wonderdogs.
When a pet dies, their owners are often unprepared for the emotions they experience. I created a website that celebrates the lives of pets, and allows people to connect with others going through the same experiences. Since its launch, the site has helped thousands of people along that rough road in the days, months and years after a beloved pet dies.
I’m an Ambassador for Assistance Dogs Australia, Animal Welfare League NSW, Animals Asia Foundation, National Breast Cancer Foundation and Lifeline Australia.
My daughter, Charlotte, and I share our Sydney home with a Maine Coon cat called King Leo and an adopted Golden Retriever called Riley. I feel truly blessed to have been in the position to use my media profile to support and promote the important role animals play in our lives.
